Decorative Concretegraphic depicting a concrete stencil outline
Instead of just laying a new slab in or around your house to replace the old floor, patio or driveway, why not add a decorative finish at the same time?

Even if you don't need a completely new concrete floor, you can still have a complete make-over using the overlay method, which entails using specially formulated adhesives and mixes to lay thin coats to the existing floor and still adding the pattern and colours of choice.
This can also help disguise the imperfections in your old floor, the difference is incredible. Both methods leave a beautifully finished and convincing floor.
We can even take it a stage further by colour etching highlights prior to sealing, especially useful for the tile patterns and feature stencils such as the compass.
The finished floors are vitually flat but have a texture applied to the surface giving the appearance of natural stone and brick, or left smooth if required, the grout lines are especially realistic whilst not being too deep, making them easy to clean, unlike stamped concrete.

Will the colour fade?
When using a quality colour hardener, following the manufacturer's specifications, plus a quality UV protectant sealer, it should not fade. For maximum durability, the sealer should be maintained as recommended by the manufacturer.
How much does it cost?
Costs vary dependant on what's involved, but a driveway for example including levelling the site, applying a compacted sub base, a reinforced 150mm textured concrete slab and two coats of sealer expect to pay around 60€ + m² H.T.
What are the advantages of stenciled concrete?
Stenciled concrete gives the appearance of real stone, tile or brick without the higher installation costs and maintenance, available in a wide range of colours and patterns to choose from, with more options for the homeowner.  Stenciled concrete leaves a flat and even surface better suited for pool decks, walkways, driveways and interior floors.
Will stenciled concrete be harmed under freeze/thaw conditions?
No, provided you maintain the sealer. A good sealer is the key to protecting your concrete from ice and deicing salts.
What are the advantages of stenciled concrete versus brick, stone, tile, and so on?
Stenciled concrete can be reinforced to serve any structural need or purpose. Stenciled concrete offers the option of multi-coloured, patterned, and textured designs to compliment the existing structure. It is a lower cost, lower maintenance product.
What are the advantages of stenciled versus stamped concrete?
Stenciled concrete produces a more realistic appearance, comparable to brick, stone, tile, etc. Stenciled concrete produces a surface that contains the texture of brick, stone, or tile, and includes a realistic grout line, all in a one-step application.
